Choose from the selections below and then select how many places you require. If these dates/locations are not suitable, contact us as we may have other mental health First Aid training courses available.

After completing your purchase you will receive confirmation and course information.

Course Aim
Following the traditional Face-to-Face modules, the online Adult Mental Health First Aid course has been ‘slightly’ modified to suit the new delivery medium. Each delegate (max 16 per course) will receive, before the course starts, a full course pack in the post – this will detail how to log into the Learning Management System (LMS) and access downloads and the brand-new market-leading phone app to use during the course. The Live Sessions, via the LMS, will require all delegates/tutor/s to log in and use Video/Microphone tools from their computers to participate – breakout ‘rooms’, and group and individual sessions will be used/available to help learning.

The Accredited Online Mental Health First Aid course (MHFA) is a training course which teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue. You’ll learn to recognise warning signs of mental ill health and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support someone while keeping yourself safe. You’ll also learn how to empower someone to access the support they might need for recovery or successful management of symptoms. This could include self-help books or websites, accessing therapy services through their GP, their school or place of work, online self-referral, support groups, and more.

Course Objective

Upon successful completion of the training program and final assessment, Mental Health First Aiders will have:

  • An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
  • Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
  • Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
  • Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
  • Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support – whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix

This online, tutor-led course can be run over 2 full days (consecutive or not) or split into 4 x 4.5-hour sessions, all those attending all training sessions will receive a nationally recognised certificate which is valid for 3 years. In addition, those who attend this course are eligible to, at additional cost, take the Level 3 Award in Understanding Mental Health First Aid exam – please ask for further details (this is not a requirement of the course but some individuals may find that this formal exam and qualification is of benefit)

Each candidate will receive, by download, an ‘Adult MHFA Manual Two Day’ colour reference manual and be sent to use on the course an ‘Adult MHFA Workbook’ which is a clear, concise and valuable review tool for future reference.
